Review of Baahubali - The Beginning Live
What a night to appreciate art & Indian culture! A unique way of experiencing cinema and orchestra together. A feast for the eyes and ears ... and of course a proud moment for Indian cinema (Or should I say Telugu cinema) , for the first time in 148 years of Royal Albert Hall, an Indian movie gets featured.
What more do the fans want, we had the Director, Music Director, and the main cast on the stage with small Q& A (Rajmouli garu, Keeravani garu, Prabhas - the Bahubali himself, Rana & Anushka). The audience were so energised with cries of Bahubali & Jai Mahishmati.. This was followed by the full length movie screening with the songs and key musical background scores in the movie delivered by a Live Orchestra. May be... the audience wanted Kattappa too :)
The cast are so down to earth and connected so well with an audience of 5000+ and it surely must have been a memorable night for them too.
And finally- an electrified atmosphere! Surely making each one think, I should be back here again for the next movie screening!

Review of Hacienda Classical
Loads of ex ravers with a few quid in their pocket bopping away to nostalgia done classical - they played it safe with the tunes, they could have been more daring. I don't think this is going to be last of this classical collaboration business. Its gonna get milked. It would be good if someone did this concept open air. I enjoyed it but I wanted more emphasis on strings and more crescendo, I wanted it to bring me to tears with overwhelming emotion but I just felt a bit old and and realised how much I miss a good gary. The guy with the Paul Wella haircut in the CP jacket dancing next to me was proper buzzing and fist pumping. I just think it would have been better if him and I had both been brought to tears and shared some stories. And, the Mancs were right, I bet the Manchester one was better. Glad Shaun and Bez got a few quid out of it. I did go away feeling that its best to live in the present rather than the past, altho, I'd consider going again if they did one in Donny.

Simply Amazing
I had purposely not watching anything from the previous show in Manchester so that I could build no expectations of what the show would be like and I'm glad I'd made that decision. The music was breathtaking! Whoever came up with concept of putting a full orchestra to club classics which I hold so dear is nothing short of a genius. The production was great although a few more lasers wouldn't have hurt. The sound on the whole was good although there was some patchy moments and personally I felt the orchestra should've been slightly louder. A few of the tunes were a bit out of place - The Armand Van Helden tune was released two years after the Hacienda closed so it would never have been played there, I felt this was a bit poor when you think how many other amazing records they had to pick from. The crowd were fantastic, super friendly and up for a good time, everyone was up and dancing and chatting to the people next to them - if you're looking for a quiet sedate event don't bother with this! All in all it was a fantastic night out and one I felt very privileged to be part of.
