About Moulin Rouge! The Musical

Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre, London, brings Baz Luhrmann’s film to the stage in a musical set in a world of splendour, romance and theatrical excess. Directed by Tony Award® winner Alex Timbers, it is presented as a stage celebration of Truth, Beauty, Freedom and Love.

The production has a book by Tony Award® winner John Logan, with music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Tony Award® winner Justin Levine, and choreography by Tony Award® winner Sonya Tayeh. It reworks the film into a musical mash-up format for the stage.

Duration: 2 hours 45 minutes including interval. Age guidance: Suitable for ages 12 years and older. Content note: Strobe lighting is used in the show.

Before you book

For matinee performances, the venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. For evening performances, the venue opens 105 minutes before the start time. Please arrive 30 minutes before the start time, as latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point.
