Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre is a stage production set in Hawkins, 1959. It follows young Jim Hopper, Bob Newby’s sister, Joyce Maldonado and new student Henry Creel as ordinary lives in town begin to shift in unexpected ways.

Brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, the production uses theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to take audiences back to the beginning of the Stranger Things story. It looks at the events that lead towards the world turning upside down.

Duration: Approx. 3 hrs including an interval.

Before you book

Age guidance: Recommended 12+. Under 5s are not permitted. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. The production contains gunfire audio, loud noises, explosions, haze, smoke, flashing lights and strobe, strong language, and depictions of mental health conditions and disorders.

Arrival and entry: The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time, and you should arrive 30 minutes before the start time. Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point, which may be the interval. No exchanges or refunds after purchase.
