About Stranger Things: The First Shadow

Stranger Things: The First Shadow at Phoenix Theatre is set in Hawkins, 1959, before the events of Stranger Things. Young Jim Hopper’s car will not start, Bob Newby’s sister will not take his radio show seriously, and Joyce Maldonado just wants to graduate and get out of town. When new student Henry Creel arrives, his family discovers that a fresh start is not so simple.

The production is brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, using theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to take the Stranger Things story back to its beginning.

Duration: Approx 3 hrs including an interval.

Before you book

Age guidance: Recommended 12+. Under 5s are not permitted. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. The production contains gunfire audio, loud noises, explosions, haze, smoke, flashing lights and strobe, strong language, and depictions of mental health conditions and disorders.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Please arrive 30 minutes before the start time. Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point, which may be the interval. No exchanges or refunds after purchase.
