Stranger Things: The First Shadow at Phoenix Theatre takes audiences back to Hawkins in 1959, where Jim Hopper’s car will not start, Bob Newby’s sister does not take his radio show seriously, and Joyce Maldonado just wants to graduate and leave town. When new student Henry Creel arrives, his family finds that a fresh start is not so simple.

Brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, the production uses theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to return to the beginning of the Stranger Things story. It is set before the world turned upside down and is presented as a new chapter that may hold the key to the end.

Before you book

Age guidance: Recommended 12+. Under 5s are not permitted. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. The production contains gunfire audio, loud noises, explosions, haze, smoke, flashing lights and strobe, strong language, and depictions of mental health conditions and disorders.

Arrival and entry: The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time, and you should arrive 30 minutes beforehand. Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point, which may be the interval. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
