About Stranger Things: The First Shadow

Stranger Things: The First Shadow is a stage production set in Hawkins, 1959, before the events of the television series. It follows young Jim Hopper, Bob Newby and Joyce Maldonado as they deal with everyday teenage and family troubles, then introduces new student Henry Creel, whose arrival changes the town’s story.

Brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, the production uses theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to revisit the beginning of the Stranger Things story. It is a prequel that stands on its own while also connecting to the wider world of the series.

Duration: Approx 3 hrs including an interval. Age guidance: Recommended 12+. Under 5s are not permitted and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

Before you book

The production contains gunfire audio, loud noises, explosions, haze, smoke, flashing lights and strobe, strong language, and depictions of mental health conditions and disorders. It is recommended for ages 12 and over. Children under 5 are not permitted, and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance begins. Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point, which may be the interval.
