Stranger Things: The First Shadow

About Stranger Things: The First Shadow

Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre is set in Hawkins in 1959, before the events of the television series. The story follows a town with ordinary problems: young Jim Hopper’s car will not start, Bob Newby’s sister does not take his radio show seriously, and Joyce Maldonado wants to leave town after graduating. When new student Henry Creel arrives, his family discovers that a fresh start is not as simple as it seems.

Brought to the stage by a multi-award-winning creative team, the production uses theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to take the story back to the beginning of the Stranger Things timeline. The show has received five-star reviews from The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Standard.

Approximate running time: 3 hours including an interval.
