About The Snowman
The Snowman at Sadler's Wells Theatre is a new staging of Raymond Briggs’ much-loved story, set to Howard Blake’s score and featuring Walking In The Air. It uses beautifully crafted puppets to tell the Christmas Eve story of a young boy whose snowman comes to life.
As the boy and his snowman travel together, they meet Father Christmas, a herd of reindeer and a festive gathering of the Snowman’s friends beneath the Northern Lights. The production is directed and choreographed by Olivier award-winning Will Tuckett, with set and costume design by multi-award-winning Anna Fleischle.
Key facts: Running time is 90 minutes, including one 20-minute interval.
