About The Snowman
The Snowman at Sadler's Wells Theatre is a new staging based on Raymond Briggs’ cherished book. It features Howard Blake’s score, including Walking In The Air, with beautifully crafted puppets and direction and choreography by Olivier award-winner Will Tuckett.
The story begins on Christmas Eve, when a young boy’s snowman comes to life and a shared adventure starts. Along the way they meet Father Christmas, a herd of friendly reindeer, and join a party with the Snowman’s friends beneath the Northern Lights.
Set and costume design is by multi-award-winning Anna Fleischle, whose credits include Punch and 2:22 A Ghost Story.
Running time: 90 minutes, including one 20-minute interval.
