Harry Potter and The Cursed Child is a play based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany. It first premiered in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre in summer 2016 and follows Harry, Ron and Hermione 19 years on, alongside a new generation at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
The story centres on Harry’s youngest son, Albus, as past and present begin to collide. The production brings together time travel, spells and an unfolding battle to stop mysterious forces, with the future hanging in the balance.
It is described as the most awarded play in history and the most awarded West End play in the history of the Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards in 2017, including Best New Play and Best Director.
Duration: 2 hours, 55 minutes, including one 20 minute interval.
Age guidance: recommended for children aged 8+. Children under 5 are not permitted, and babes in arms are not admitted to the auditorium. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket. Patrons under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
