Harry Potter and The Cursed Child - One-Part at the Palace Theatre is a new play by Jack Thorne, based on an original story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany. Set 19 years after Harry, Ron and Hermione saved the wizarding world, it follows Harry’s youngest son, Albus, as the next generation at Hogwarts faces a new challenge.

The production premiered in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre in summer 2016. It is the most awarded West End play in the history of the Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards in 2017, including Best New Play and Best Director.

The story brings spells, time travel and a battle against mysterious forces as past and present collide.

Running time: 2 hours 55 minutes, including one 20-minute interval.

Before you book

This show is recommended for children aged 8 and over. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket. Children under 5 are not permitted, babes in arms are not admitted to the auditorium, and patrons under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

The One-Part show begins from 9th October with a reimagined production. The Two-Part show’s final performance is on 20th September.
