Into The Woods

About Into The Woods

Into The Woods is Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s musical, transferring to the West End after a critically acclaimed run at The Bridge Theatre. Directed by Jordan Fein, with set and costume design by Tom Scutt, this production follows the Baker and his wife, a Witch with a curse, a boy and his cow, a girl in a red cloak, a maiden with long flowing hair and a servant covered in cinders as their stories begin to cross in the woods.

As the adventure unfolds, wishes are made, slippers are lost and beanstalks take flight, with the story looking beyond ‘Happily ever after’. It is a fairytale journey that brings together familiar characters and asks what comes next after the ending everyone knows.
