About Into The Woods

Into The Woods is now in the West End following a critically acclaimed run at The Bridge Theatre. Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s musical is directed by Jordan Fein, with set and costume design by Tom Scutt.

The story brings together the Baker and his wife, a Witch with a curse, a boy and his cow, a girl in a red cloak, a maiden with long flowing hair, and a servant covered in cinders as they journey into the woods. As their paths entwine, wishes are made, slippers are lost and beanstalks take flight.

The production looks at what happens after the fairytale endings, following the characters beyond “Happily ever after” as their stories unfold in darker and more uncertain territory.

Before you book

Age guidance: Suitable for ages 12 and over. Children under 16 must be accompanied by, and seated next to, a ticket holder aged 18 or over. Children under 3 will not be admitted. Everyone, regardless of age, needs their own ticket to enter the theatre.

Content and entry: This production contains haze, loud noises, flashing lights, strobe effects and periods of absolute darkness in the auditorium. Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance.
