About Into The Woods

Into The Woods is a West End production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s musical, following a critically acclaimed run at The Bridge Theatre. Directed by Jordan Fein, with set and costume design by Tom Scutt, it brings together fairytale characters whose stories intersect as they journey into the woods.

The show follows the Baker and his wife, a Witch with a curse, a boy and his cow, a girl in a red cloak, a maiden with long flowing hair, and a servant covered in cinders. As wishes are made and paths entwine, the story moves beyond “happily ever after” into the consequences of what comes next.

It has been described by The Times as “stunning” and by The Standard as “a triumphant musical mash-up of fairytales”.

Before you book

Everyone, regardless of age, must have their own ticket to enter the theatre. Children under 16 must be accompanied by and seated next to a ticket holder aged 18 or over, and children under 3 will not be admitted. Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance.

This production contains haze, loud noises, flashing lights and strobe effects, and there will be periods of absolute darkness in the auditorium. If you are sensitive to light, please take this into account and remain in your seat during the darkness. No refunds or exchanges are available after purchase.
