Into The Woods

About Into The Woods

Into The Woods at 85-88 St Martin's Lane, London, is Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s musical about what happens after fairy tales end. The Baker and his wife, a Witch with a curse, a boy and his cow, a girl in a red cloak, a maiden with long flowing hair and a servant covered in cinders all journey deep into the woods as their stories begin to intertwine.

Directed by Jordan Fein, with set and costume design by Tom Scutt, this new production transfers to the West End after a critically acclaimed run at The Bridge Theatre. It has been described by The Times as “stunning” and by The Standard as “a triumphant musical mash-up of fairytales”.

The story follows wishes, lost slippers, beanstalks and new friendships as the characters discover what life beyond “Happily ever after” can look like.
