About Into The Woods

Into The Woods is playing in the West End at 85-88 St Martin's Lane, London. Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s musical has transferred from a critically acclaimed run at The Bridge Theatre, in a new production directed by Jordan Fein with set and costume design by Tom Scutt.

The show brings together figures from fairy tales including the Baker and his wife, a Witch with a curse, a boy and his cow, a girl in a red cloak, a maiden with long flowing hair and a servant covered in cinders. As their stories intertwine in the woods, wishes are made, slippers are lost and beanstalks take flight.

It has been described as “stunning” by The Times and “a triumphant musical mash-up of fairytales” by The Standard.

Before you book

Everyone, regardless of age, must have their own ticket to enter the theatre. Children under 16 must be accompanied by and sat next to a ticket holder aged at least 18. Children under 3 will not be admitted.

Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance. This production contains haze, loud noises, flashing lights and strobe effects, and there will be periods of absolute darkness in the auditorium.
