Amadeus at the Noël Coward Theatre in London brings Peter Shaffer’s play back in its first revival in over a decade. Set in Vienna in 1820, it follows a respected composer whose shocking confession opens a story about ambition, faith and the cost of greatness.
Fuelled by some of the greatest music ever written, the play explores the clash between talent and genius as devotion turns to betrayal and one man dares to challenge God. The production is directed by Jeremy Herrin.
Michael Sheen stars as Salieri opposite Callum Scott Howells as Mozart, marking the first time two Welsh actors have taken on these roles.
