Amadeus at Noël Coward Theatre in London is Peter Shaffer’s play set in Vienna in 1820. It follows a respected composer who makes a shocking confession.
Fuelled by some of the greatest music ever written, the story examines ambition, faith and the cost of greatness. It charts a conflict where talent battles genius, devotion turns to betrayal, and one man dares to challenge God.
Directed by Jeremy Herrin, this production stars Michael Sheen as Salieri and Callum Scott Howells as Mozart. It is the first time two Welsh actors have taken on these roles.
