The Phantom of the Opera is Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical about the Phantom living beneath the Paris Opera House and his love for Christine Daaé. The story follows his shadowy existence, his fear of being seen, and the hold Christine has over him.

The production combines Andrew Lloyd Webber’s score with scenery and special effects to bring the story to life. It first opened at His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday 9 October 1986, with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles.

Since then, The Phantom of the Opera has become one of the highest-grossing musicals of all time. It has won 70 major theatre awards and has been seen by over 140 million people worldwide.

Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. Performance times: Monday to Friday at 7.30pm, Saturday at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Before you book

Children under 4 will not be admitted. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a valid ticket.

You will receive a confirmation email with your e-ticket. Please print and bring it on the day, and it is recommended that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. You may also need to present valid ID. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.

Seat information: Stalls Row N-S have the top of the staging obscured by the Royal Circle overhang. Single seats cannot be left in a row when booking.
