The Phantom of the Opera is playing at 57 Haymarket, London. Set beneath the Paris Opera House, the musical follows the Phantom, who lives in shadow and falls for his protégée Christine Daaé.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s score, scenery and special effects bring the story to the stage. The show first opened at His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles.

Since then, The Phantom of the Opera has become one of the highest-grossing musicals of all time, with 70 major theatre awards and more than 140 million people worldwide having seen it.

Running time: 2 hours and 30 minutes including one interval. Performance times: Monday to Friday 7.30pm; Saturday 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Before you book

Children under 4 are not admitted. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. Everyone entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a valid ticket.

You will receive a confirmation email with your e-ticket; please print and bring it on the day. It is recommended that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance start time, and you may need to present valid ID. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.

Seat information: Stalls Row N-S will have the top of the staging obscured by the Royal Circle overhang. Single seats cannot be left in a row when booking.
