Abigail's Party at the Harold Pinter Theatre is Mike Leigh’s black comedy set in suburban Essex in 1977. Tamzin Outhwaite stars as Beverly, who hosts drinks for her new neighbours Angela and Tony, while Sue from next door is invited too.
As the alcohol flows and the conversation turns awkward, the evening moves through flirtation, marital tension and uncomfortable small talk. The production follows Leigh’s portrait of social class, materialism and sexual tension in 1970s England.
The run dates are Wednesday 12th August to Saturday 19th September 2026.
