About Oliver!

Oliver! at the Gielgud Theatre in London is Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Lionel Bart’s musical, fully reconceived with director and choreographer Matthew Bourne. Following a sold-out season at Chichester Festival Theatre, this Olivier, Tony and Oscar-winning show brings Dickens’ story of the boy who asked for more to the stage.

The production features the score’s best-known songs, including Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah and As Long As He Needs Me. It is a Cameron Mackintosh & Chichester Festival Theatre production, with design by Lez Brotherston and lighting by Paule Constable and Ben Jacobs.

Key facts: Opens in London at the Gielgud Theatre on Saturday 14 December 2024. Recommended for ages 7+.

Before you book

Oliver! is recommended for ages 7 and over. Matt Lucas will play Fagin from 22 September to 1 November 2026, but will not be performing on Friday 9 October or Thursday 29 October at 2:30pm.
