About Oliver!

Oliver! is playing at the Gielgud Theatre, London. Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Lionel Bart’s musical has been fully reconceived with director and choreographer Matthew Bourne, following a sold-out season at Chichester Festival Theatre.

The show brings Dickens’ story of the boy who asked for more to the stage, with a score that includes Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah and As Long As He Needs Me. Lionel Bart’s musical is an Olivier, Tony and Oscar-winning masterpiece.

Produced and revised by Cameron Mackintosh, the production is directed and choreographed by Matthew Bourne, with co-direction by Jean-Pierre van der Spuy. Design is by Lez Brotherston, with lighting by Paule Constable and Ben Jacobs, sound by Adam Fisher, video by George Reeve, original orchestrations by William David Brohn adapted by Stephen Metcalfe, and music supervision by Graham Hurman.
