RENT at the Duke of York’s Theatre brings Jonathan Larson’s groundbreaking musical back to the West End in a new production directed by Luke Sheppard. Starring Gaten Matarazzo as Mark, it is inspired by Puccini’s La Bohème and follows a generation facing joy, uncertainty and resilience.
Thirty years after it first redefined musical theatre, RENT returns with a story centred on community and connection. The production features Larson’s music and the kind of sharply drawn contemporary themes that have kept the show relevant to audiences since it first opened.
