About
About RENT
At the Duke of York’s Theatre, RENT returns to the West End thirty years after Jonathan Larson’s musical first redefined musical theatre. Directed by Luke Sheppard, it is inspired by Puccini’s La Bohème and captures the joy, uncertainty and resilience of a generation determined to make every moment count.
RENT centres on community, connection and the urgency of living day to day. The show’s story and score have remained part of its appeal, with this production bringing the musical back to London’s West End.
Running time: 2 hours and 45 minutes, including one interval.
