Rent

About RENT

RENT at the Duke of York’s Theatre brings Jonathan Larson’s musical back to the West End in a new production directed by Luke Sheppard, with Gaten Matarazzo as Mark. Inspired by Puccini’s La Bohème, it centres on a generation facing uncertainty while holding on to community, connection and resilience.

Thirty years after it redefined musical theatre, RENT returns with a story that continues to resonate. Set against themes of love, loss and survival, it follows characters determined to make every moment count.

Running time: 2 hours and 45 minutes, including one interval.
