Absolutely horrendously organised. Turned up at 10 25. Waited in line, as was to be expected. Was told it would be 1min until we were let in. Then told 2 more mins. Then half an hour later were told they were at capacity and couldn't admit anymore people. Said they would be able to let more people in soon. 

At 11 45pm the promoter, Van, told the 100 odd people outside who had bought tickets that there was no chance we were going in before midnight and that we should have arrived earlier but we could go to a pub up thr road if we wanted. 

He then yelled at a bunch of people who were (rightfully..) angry and told them it was their fault and that the place opened at 9 and the invite said be there by 9 to avoid disappointment. The invite said it opened at 10 and to be there at 9 30 if you wanted to avoid long queues. Nothing about them having massively oversold the thing and that there was a chance you wouldn't get let in if you weren't there right on opening time. 

The promoter, who had his personal mobile and whatsapp details on the event page, said it wasn't his fault and that he wouldn't give refunds, we could try to get them online but he wouldn't be doing anything about it. 

Absolutely ruined the night. Can't believe I paid money to experience it. 

Oh and also got hit by the stampede of angry people the promoter was abusing. 

Got into another place at about 11:58pm. No drink in hand for new years.
