Just be a good person, actually, a new play written by Julia Pagett and directed by Andrew Hollingworth.

A darkly funny and increasingly unsettling psychological horror, Just be a good person, actually follows married couple Lucas and Felicity as infidelity, resentment and longing begin to unravel their relationship.

But some mistakes don't end when life does.

What begins as a booze-soaked satire of modern love gradually descends into something far stranger. As Lucas and Felicity find themselves confronted by unsettling strangers and the surreal bureaucracy of the afterlife, the consequences of their choices become impossible to escape.

In this version of hell, there are no flames or pitchforks. Instead, there is the uncomfortable possibility of being trapped forever with the consequences of who we really are.

Blending psychological horror, dark comedy and surrealism, the play asks uncomfortable questions about morality, relationships and the stories we tell ourselves in order to believe that we are good people.

How much guilt can a relationship survive?
Can we ever escape the consequences of our choices?
And what happens when there is nowhere left to hide from ourselves?
