About Wild About You

Wild About You at The Arches, London follows Billy on the day of his high school graduation party, when he finds a trunk of letters written to him by his late mother. Told she abandoned him as a child, Billy and his best friend Scoot set out to uncover the truth about his past and his connection to a woman he never knew.

The songwriting draws on the lyrical world of Joni Mitchell and Carole King, with melodies and harmonies that reflect the artists who followed them. Its mix of nouveau-folk, pop, country-pop and soul is built around storytelling and an ensemble of characters from all walks of life.

The story centres on family, identity and direction, with the idea that “love is what we leave behind” running through the show.
