Wild About You

About Wild About You

Wild About You at The Arches follows Billy on the day of his high school graduation party, when he finds a trunk of letters written to him by his late mother, who he had been told abandoned him as a child. The discovery sends Billy and his best friend Scoot on a search for the truth about his past and his connection to a woman he never knew.

The songwriting pays homage to the lyrical world of Joni Mitchell and Carole King, with melodies and harmonies that draw on the artists who followed them. The music moves through nouveau-folk, pop, country-pop and soul, supporting a story built around a wide range of characters and perspectives.

The piece centres on questions of direction, fulfilment and the idea that love is what we leave behind.
