About Wild About You
Wild About You is at The Arches, London. It follows Billy on the day of his high school graduation party, when he finds a trunk of letters written to him by his late mother, who he had been told abandoned him as a child.
What begins as a family mystery becomes a journey with his best friend Scoot to uncover the truth about Billy’s past and his connection to a woman he never knew. The songwriting draws on the lyrical world of Joni Mitchell and Carole King, with melodies and harmonies influenced by later artists, and the score brings together nouveau-folk, pop, country-pop and soul.
The show features an ensemble of characters from all walks of life and centres on themes of identity, direction and fulfilment.
