About Wild About You

Wild About You at The Arches, London follows Billy on the day of his high school graduation party, when he finds a trunk of letters written to him by his late mother, who he had been told abandoned him as a child. What begins as a personal discovery becomes a journey with his best friend Scoot to uncover the truth about Billy’s past and his connection to a woman he never knew.

The songwriting pays homage to the lyrical world of Joni Mitchell and Carole King, with melodies and harmonies shaped by the artists that followed them. The score draws on nouveau-folk, pop, country-pop and soul, and the show brings together an ensemble of characters from different walks of life.

It is a story about direction, belonging and the idea that “love is what we leave behind”, with songs designed to stay with audiences after the performance.
