About Wild About You

Wild About You at The Arches, London, is a story-driven theatre show about Billy, who is at his high school graduation party when he finds a trunk of letters written to him by his late mother, who he was told abandoned him as a child. With his best friend Scoot, he sets out to uncover the truth about his past and his place in the world.

The songwriting pays homage to the lyrical style of Joni Mitchell and Carole King, with melodies and harmonies that draw on the artists who followed them. The music blends nouveau-folk, pop, country-pop and soul, and the show features an ensemble of characters from different walks of life.

The story follows Billy’s search for connection and understanding, as he looks into the woman he never knew and what her letters might reveal about his future.
