About Wild About You

Wild About You at The Arches, London follows Billy on the day of his high school graduation party. Feeling at odds with his future before it has even begun, he finds a trunk of letters written to him by his late mother, who he was told abandoned him as a child. With his best friend Scoot, he sets out to uncover the truth about his past and his connection to a woman he never knew.

The songwriting pays homage to the lyrical world of Joni Mitchell and Carole King, with melodies and harmonies that draw on the artists who followed them. The music moves through nouveau-folk, pop, country-pop and soul, supporting a story built for storytelling.

With an ensemble of characters from all walks of life, the show brings together themes of identity, direction and fulfilment, alongside the idea that love is what we leave behind.
