About Wild About You
Wild About You at The Arches follows Billy on the day of his high school graduation party, when he finds a trunk of letters written to him by his late mother. Told she abandoned him as a child, Billy and his best friend Scoot set out to uncover the truth about his past and his connection to a woman he never knew.
The songwriting pays homage to the lyrical world of Joni Mitchell and Carole King, with melodies and harmonies that draw on the artists who followed them. The score brings together nouveau-folk, pop, country-pop and soul in a story-led show shaped around its characters.
With an ensemble of characters from all walks of life, the production explores direction, journey and fulfilment, alongside the idea that love is what we leave behind.
