Wild About You

About Wild About You

Wild About You at The Arches, London follows Billy on the day of his high school graduation party, when he finds a trunk of letters written to him by his late mother. Told she abandoned him as a child, Billy and his best friend Scoot set out to uncover the truth about his past and his connection to a woman he never knew.

The songwriting draws on the lyrical style of Joni Mitchell and Carole King, with melodies and harmonies that reflect the artists who followed them. The score includes nouveau-folk, pop, country-pop and soul, and the story is carried by an ensemble of characters from different walks of life.

As well as following Billy’s search for answers, the show explores identity, direction and fulfilment, with the line that “love is what we leave behind” running through the piece.
