Witness for the Prosecution at London County Hall is Agatha Christie’s courtroom drama about Leonard Vole, who is accused of murdering a widow to inherit her wealth. The audience sits close to the action as the trial unfolds around them.
Now in its seventh year, the production has been seen by thousands at London County Hall on the South Bank. The case is played out through prosecution and defence arguments and witness testimony in a courtroom setting.
The staging is immersive, with actors performing in the aisles while the audience remains seated throughout. The story follows questions of justice, passion and betrayal as the evidence is heard.
