To commemorate the launch of their new album 8 Days, Fred Everything and Atjazz come together for a very special late-night celebration at Camden Lockside, running through until 3am.
Flying in from Toronto, Fred Everything is one of deep house music’s most respected producers and DJs. Across a career spanning more than three decades, his sound has moved effortlessly between soulful house, warm electronic groove and refined club music, with releases and remixes connected to labels including Lazy Days, 20:20 Vision and Defected. A true craftsman behind the decks and in the studio, Fred’s music carries that rare balance of dancefloor weight and emotional detail.
Alongside him is Atjazz, aka Martin Iveson, a producer, remixer, label head and DJ whose influence runs deep through broken beat, jazz-rooted electronics, soulful house and future-facing club music. From early productions through to the continuing output of Atjazz Record Company, Martin has built a catalogue respected by selectors, dancers and artists across the world.
Their new album 8 Days captures the natural meeting point between these two musical minds: warm chords, detailed rhythms, deep low-end, subtle emotion and grown-up house music made with care. It is a collaboration that feels less like a one-off project and more like two long-standing musical languages speaking fluently together.
Joining them on the night are fellow Atjazz Record Company stalwarts AtONE and South Beach Recycling, plus Mark Johnson, completing a line-up rooted in real deep house culture rather than passing trend. AtONE brings a rich, musical and deeply considered approach to the label’s sound, while South Beach Recycling continues to build a name through soulful, underground house with a strong connection to the Atjazz family. Mark Johnson adds further depth to the night, helping shape the evening from warm-up movement through to late-night dancefloor pressure.
The setting could not be more fitting. Camden Lockside sits in one of London’s most historic music districts, surrounded by the energy of Camden Lock, the canal, the market, and the long-running legacy of nearby venues that have helped shape London nightlife for decades. This part of Camden has always attracted outsiders, selectors, bands, dancers, record collectors and late-night people looking for something with a little more edge and history.
There is also a wider London club lineage in the room: the kind of soulful, musically educated dancefloor culture carried by pioneers such as Paul “Trouble” Anderson, whose influence helped shape generations of UK house, soul and club DJs.
On this night, that spirit continues — not as nostalgia, but as living culture. 8 Days lands in London with the people, sound and setting it deserves.
