Ivanov at 3 Potters Fields Park, London SE1 2SG is Simon Stone’s contemporary take on Chekhov’s comic drama. It follows Nikolai, who has a successful career and a seemingly perfect marriage, but finds himself weighed down by debts, his wife’s unexplained illnesses and a growing sense that something is badly wrong.
Set around a party at the Lebedevs’, the play asks what is driving Nikolai’s unease and whether his marriage, career and will to live can hold together. It is created by Simon Stone and the same creative team that brought The Lady from the Sea to the stage.
