Into the Woods at the Bridge Theatre is Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s musical that brings together the Baker, the Baker’s Wife, the Witch, Jack, Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella and Rapunzel. It moves beyond the familiar fairy-tale ending to follow the characters as they search for what really matters.
The story begins with a series of reasons for going into the woods: to sell the cow, to lift the spell, to visit mother, to see the king, or to find yourself. That simple starting point connects several well-known tales in one production.
