About

Step into King James I's party palace for an evening of costumes, dance and music. Starring Joe Locke, Dylan Mulvaney, Jodie Harsh, Nicky Doll, Anthony Roth Costanzo, Bruno de Sá, Nicky Spence, Jaye Simmons and Jonny Woo, backed by a full Baroque orchestra under the the baton of Oliver Zeffman.

For one night only, Classical Pride, in partnership with Historic Royal Palaces, presents a unique, sexy and unapologetically gay reimagining of the Baroque balls of the courts of James I and Louis XIV. Directed by Daniel Evans (Co-Artistic Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company / RSC) with choreography from Olivier Award-winning James Cousins (Guys & Dolls, The Bridge Theatre), the Baroque Ball celebrates the era's greatest LGBTQ+ composers, including Handel, Lully and Corelli, as well as a new aria from William Marsey.

Think Bridgerton, The Favourite, Madonna's MTV Vogue performance - all to Baroque music. Attending in costume is strongly encouraged. Limited props will be available for those who arrive early.
