Tao Of Glass at 4 Soho Place is a West End premiere from composer Philip Glass and performer-director Phelim McDermott (Improbable). It is described as an exploration of life, loss and the question of where true inspiration comes from, bringing together ten meditations on life, death and Taoist wisdom with ten new pieces of music from Glass.
The production is presented as part-concert, part-performance, with Glass’s music performed alongside McDermott’s storytelling and an ensemble of musicians and puppeteers. It is produced by Factory International, Improbable and Nica Burns, and has received five-star reviews from The Guardian, The Times and What’s On Stage, plus four stars from The Telegraph, The Observer and The Arts Desk.
