B.A.G.S - Peccavi Album Launch
Thursday 28th May - Commune, Constance Street
7PM - Midnight
A night of industrial electronics, ambient sound, noise, improvisation, and underground experimental music celebrating the release of Peccavi, the debut album from Liverpool-based project B.A.G.S.
Built around live performance and immersive atmosphere, the evening brings together artists working across industrial, drone, dub, IDM, ambient electronics, and freeform sound experimentation - alongside DJ selections running throughout the night.
B.A.G.S is an experimental electronic and industrial project exploring abrasive textures, fractured rhythms, live improvisation, and dense sound environments. Emerging from a background in guitar-based composition, the project has gradually shifted toward a more fluid and unpredictable approach influenced by industrial noise, experimental hip-hop, dub, musique concrète, and electronic improvisation. Peccavi marks the debut full-length release from the project.
Joining the lineup is Jez Thelwell, performing a live set of ambient synthesiser-based electronica. Jez also runs Moolakii Club Audio Interface, the Wirral-based DIY label and music hub supporting peripheral and underground electronic artists across Merseyside and beyond through cassette, CD, and digital releases.
Also performing is groß aktiv, the industrial and experimental electronics project of Liverpool producer Charlie Hayes. Drawing influence from Throbbing Gristle, Muslimgauze, SPK, IDM, drone, and techno, groß aktiv moves between noise, sound collage, ambient pressure, dub textures, and power electronics.
DJ sets throughout the night come from Alex Spiers, co-founder of Liverpool's HIVE collective and selector known for exploratory sets spanning noise, texture, experimental electronics, and obscure sound. Alex has previously hosted The Path on Melodic Distraction and worked with Bonnacons of Doom and Bill Drummond's The17.
Expect heavy atmospheres, raw electronics, immersive visuals, damaged rhythms, and a full night of leftfield sound.
