ALEX KASSIAN
Alex Kassian is a Kyoto-born, Berlin-based producer, DJ, and artist whose work moves seamlessly between club music, live performance, and cinematic compo-sition. His sound is expansive and melodic, with a strong sense of atmosphere and movement rooted in his early years composing for contemporary dance and thea-tre. That foundation continues to inform his approach today, whether creating music for the dance floor, scoring for film, or exploring guitar-based compositions.
As a solo artist, Kassian has released on labels including Love On The Rocks, Uto-pia, Test Pressing, and Pinchy & Friends. His breakout track Leave Your Life became a widely celebrated underground anthem, while his reimaginings of classics such as E2-E4 and Tangerine Dream's iconic Love On A Real Train from Risky Business have demonstrated his ability to balance innovation with deep respect for musical history. With each release, Kassian pushes a sound that's warm, melodic, and unde-niably personal.
This same sensibility carries through to his DJ sets and live performances, where precision and spontaneity converge. His selections are known for their depth and emotional range, equally suited to moments of collective energy or quiet reflection.
Whether solo or collaboratively with Hiroaki Oba as Opal Sunn, Kassian's work reflects a constant curiosity about how sound can shift mood and perspective. Rather than aiming for a single style or outcome, he treats each project as a chance to explore how music can create space, shape energy, and leave a lasting impact on the listener. Whether behind the decks, in the studio, or on stage, Kassian continues to refine a sound that resonates on dance floors and beyond.
APIENTO
Founder of the influential Test Pressing label/blog, Apiento has long been a key figure in the UK's underground dance music scene. He curates the Sunrise Sessions at Love International in Croatia, hosts a monthly show on NTS Radio, and is a DJ/ Producer who plays music from across the board.
In 2008 he founded Test Pressinga a platform to share music that he loved, with reviews, mixes from friends and family and old scanned articles about dance culture. Since then Test Pressing has grown into a record label and more. Paul grew up on dance music after discovering the electro sound in '84 by the age of 18 he was working at record labels with the likes of Underworld and Black Dog. Over the years he has made beats with Switch for M.I.A, worked on Strange Cargo albums with William Orbit and he now collaborates with Andrew Hale from Sade as Open Space as well as releasing his own solo music (see 'Things You Do For Love') under his Apiento moniker.
