JFK presents FORTY years of Fantastic Plastic

HEADLINE: JFK presents Fantastic Plastic, a vinyl only experience at The Generator Loughborough. September 12th, 2026.

JFK: FORTY is a celebration of 40 years as a DJ. 

2026 marks the 40th anniversary of JFK as a DJ.

Jason Kinch (as he was known then) span his first ever vinyl record in the summer of 1986 at his school disco.

Since that date JFK’s career as a DJ has seen him travel the world and been ranked in the Top 100 DJ poll.

Jason (JFK) quoted: ‘On that very first day of playing vinyl records in public, I never would have imagined the amazing career it has carved out. I feel so humbled and fortunate to be able to still be playing this amazing role 40 years later.

When I realised that this anniversary was coming around, I started looking for an intimate local venue to deliver an up close and personal DJ set to mark the occasion.

I first heard about the regeneration of a local venue called ‘The Generator’ some 18 months ago, I met with the team behind it to follow its development and the results of the venue transformation are spectacular. 

Housed in a restored 1930s industrial building The Generator has been transformed into a multipurpose creative venue.

The historic building has long served as a powerhouse for the town, originally housing the diesel generators that kept Loughborough College running for decades. 

Following years of dedicated campaigning and an extensive £3 million restoration, the venue is finally flipping the switch back on.

I am honoured and excited to have been invited to celebrate my 40th anniversary as a DJ by delivering the opening dance party of this amazing venue.

I will be spinning my Top 40 all-time vinyl tunes, celebrating 40 years in a 4-hour vinyl only set.

The staging maybe intimate with a full capacity of only 300, but the show will be large to showcase the venues amazing structure.

It maybe a day party but The Generator is so unique, it has instant electric black out features that can turn day into night at the touch of a button, expect a full laser & light show for that underground vibe.

With vinyl support from local DJs Tommi Wright, Clara D & Wayne Webb and Death by Disco, this party is unmissable.

To top it all off, it’s my birthday on Sept 8th and if anyone remembers the infamous ‘JFK’s Birthday Bash’ then you can expect those same crazy surprises and fun vibes.

I am looking forward to celebrating this incredible milestone with my closest friends, family and fans, this really is a one of event that will never be repeated’
