This is a fundraiser night to support the documentation and preservation of the Speedqueen archive project Love Conquers Clubland, and an opportunity for Speedqueen regulars to come together

SpeedQueen was the first female led inclusive safe space weekly clubnight in Leeds in the 90s /2000s

Simon (Rave With Bowie) was a DJ for SpeedQueen and found a sense of belonging there the moment he walked through door in the 2000s. Being gay, it was the first place he felt a sense of community combined with a carnival atmosphere with the most colourful people. To this day, it still gives him opportunities he would never have had, so he has chosen to support SpeedQueen archive project.
