THE MARITIME COUNTY
A new, upcoming indie rock band from Leeds delivering raw, authentic performances to the venues they’ve played so far. With songs that just sound classic hinting influence from bands such as The Stone Roses, The Bridewell Taxis, The Waterboys and James. With both stripped back acoustic sing-alongs and tracks with roaring guitars The Maritime County are creating tunes that undeniably capture the northern indie sound.
THE CALLS
An indie rock band melding 80s indie with woozy psychedelia. Tom Fuller’s melodic songwriting uniquely blends with lead guitarist Will Johnson and bassist Marcell Haslewood to defy convention, with an array of influences from The Stone Roses to Radiohead to Slowdive. Counting Tom Hingley, Peanut, and Josh Warrington among their fans, they “give an absolute schooling to anyone who underestimates indie’s power to push boundaries”.
JAMES HOPE
“Titled Shameless & Free, it’s testimony to the persistence of a musician who says his ambition is to eventually be regarded as one of his home city’s finest songwriters.” - Yorkshire Post
He crafts raw, unapologetic indie anthems that serve as a mouthpiece for the working class. Drawing inspiration from navigating his youth through some of the city’s toughest estates.
James realised his debut album “Shameless & Free” in February 2026 which has been showcased by BBC introducing and featured in the Yorkshire Post. James is no longer just a local voice he is a force to be reckoned with.
