Sacred Rhythms: Where Love Lives. August Weekender at Nab Cottage

In the last weekend of June we gathered, we danced, we breathed and we connected in a way that surprised even us. The feedback has been extraordinary, and the energy in that barn, in the lake, around the BBQ, told us everything we needed to know: this is something special, and people want more of it.

So we're doing it again, before the summer slips away.

We're inviting you to join us for a weekend Sacred Rhythms experience at Nab Cottage, a stunning and atmospheric barn setting tucked between Rydal Water and Ambleside, surrounded by fells, fresh air and that particular Lake District stillness that makes everything feel a little more possible.

This isn't a big scale production. It's intimate by design. We're keeping it to fourteen people, so the connections are real, the conversations and experiences go deep, and everyone gets the space they need to fully arrive.

Saturday

Arrive from mid day and settle in. We come together for dinner amid the beautiful surroundings of Bridlewater in Ambleside, then head to Nab's Historic Barn for an evening social with a difference. A proper throwback to the house and soulful house classics of the 1990s and 2000s. The kind of set that gets shoulders moving and voices joining in, whether you meant them to or not.

Through simple breathwork woven into the evening, you'll be gently guided to let go of self-consciousness, quiet the inner critic, and move with freedom. No pressure, no dance experience required. Just follow the breath, trust the beats, and let the music do the rest.

Relaxed, joyful, a little nostalgic. Finish around 11pm, because Sunday really matters….

Sunday

Breakfast from 8am, then into the heart of the weekend. From 10am to 4pm, with a break at midday, we'll move through breathwork, qigong, yoga, ecstatic dance, soundscapes and time for reflection and connection, each practice building on the last, designed to open something up rather than just tick a box.

We'll close the way these things should close: a barbecue together, a dip in the lake, the jacuzzi and sauna waiting for tired bodies and open hearts.

Overnight stay included. There is a choice of 7 rooms, some twin, some single, some en suite, some shared bathrooms.

Nab Cottage has a rare kind of magic after dark, and the weekend is built around the rhythm of arriving, settling, and staying present together, not just dropping in for a session and driving home.

Spaces are strictly limited to fourteen, and after last week we expect this to move quickly.
