A very well put together event, very informative and interesting.  Experienced guest speakers with a fount of knowledge.  The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the food was amazing.  I came away with new information and renewed hope.

Excellent, really talented musicians and a great set. Denny Walley was superb and oh what a voice!!  Hope they return again soon, would definitely see them again. 

Review of The Muffin Men featuring Denny Walley + Greenheart 

Absolutely superb.  Morecambe was really privileged last night.

Very enjoyable evening. Good venue, although bar was limited. The Muffin Man were very accomplished musicians, and did justice to the tunes they were covering. It was all the more enjoyable with the input of Denny Walley, who was great. Really enjoyed Greenheart, excellent tunes, drumming, and didgereedoing!!

Support Greenheart had a didgeridoo instead of a bass. The first song was good, but all others were too samey. Stuck in the same key was an issue for me. The loop station use was imaginative, but without any real excitement. 
The Muffin Men played a typical Denny Walley set. Then and played well, the songs we e cleverly arranged, not always like the originals. Some nice improvisations. Denny Walley had a few problems playing the particular arrangements and was sometimes out of key, at key moments. What a. Once though. I had to check on Google that he was really in his middle seventies! 
The venue was characterless, but the people running the show had arranged tables for the space and the ticket sales, improving what could have been a bit atmosphere-free. The sound man took a long time to remove the low end reverb, and the shrill high end shrieks, but the sound overall was excellent, with the sound man keeping the volume at a perfect level fo me. 

Great night , unusual support band , the muffin men never fail to astound me , Denny Walley was exelent and took time to pose with us fans . 

Fantastic evening of music. The Muffin Men never fail to impress!

The Hothouse is a fully accessible building with a 220 capacity venue space,available for hire (including PA equipment) for events, parties and gigs.  There are rooms available downstairs to  use for band rehearsals, meetings and spaces for teaching, including one with an interactive multimedia whiteboard.  There is also a recording studio.
More Music puts on a programme of live events each term and regular classes and workshops.
