Review of Dr John Cooper Clarke - The Luckiest Guy Alive
Good gig by JCC and support acts. However, having travelled from Machester and walking round the building, there was no obvious indication of where we were to enter. The venue needs to use signage to tell customers which doors are for accessing the venue, and at what time they will be opened. I was hanging around in a dark backstreet looking for info. Only resloved when another concert goer arrived and phoned someone on the inside to open the door and tell us what was happening. Very poor organisation-wise.

Review of Dr John Cooper Clarke - The Luckiest Guy Alive
The seats only had a one hour comfort level but we were sat for 2-1/2 hours. No tea or coffee options either, especially when we were outside queuing for 40 mins when we could have been inside spending money.

Review of Dr John Cooper Clarke - The Luckiest Guy Alive
John Cooper Clarke & supports we’re terrific, but the sound system couples with the bad acoustics of the Ashton Hall meant that it was almost impossible to grasp the words that were spoken. Obviously for a poetry recital concert this was critical & spoiled what would otherwise have been a really enjoyable evening for our party of three.

Review of Dr John Cooper Clarke - The Luckiest Guy Alive
First saw Dr John Cooper Clarke in 1977 at The Free Trade Hall in Manchester and again at Bentham Town Hall a couple of years ago.
He is still absolutely amazing!
I do have to mention constructed criticism, sorry! Having to queue outside for over 30 minutes wasn't great as I've been poorly and the bar area behind us was noisy. I presume for safety reasons ,the lighting above us was left on constantly. All of which slightly reduced the atmosphere of the evening.
Apart from that all three were entertaining
and John Cooper Clarke as always unique !!
Thankyou x

Review of Dr John Cooper Clarke - The Luckiest Guy Alive
I don’t think the PA was quite up to the size of the hall. Was difficult to hear sometimes and with the bar at the back being a little noisy as well. Otherwise it was ace.
